These certificates are important not only because they are required by law, but for the safety of your pet, the health of other pets, and the environments to which they are traveling. Before one of our veterinarians can issue a certificate, they must ensure the following:
Depending on your destination, we highly recommend calling at least one month in advance to schedule an appointment to obtain your pet’s travel certificate. NOTE: Some destinations take over 6 months of preparation and testing prior to permitting a pet to enter the country!
If possible, see if your pet can fly in the cabin with you. If not, avoid flights that may endure extremely hot or cold temperatures. Make sure to provide them with plenty of space and water.

Your destination country may have specific health requirements that must be met before your pet can enter the country. Since export requirements are determined by each country and can change frequently, every time you plan pet travel you will need to verify the export requirements.
